 Veteran
Wall Dedication May 28th
A project is underway
at the Fox Community Center to honor local veterans. 8 x 10 pictures
of veterans who have lived within the Rural Special School boundaries
will be placed on permanent display at the Center.
This is a project of
the history committee: Renee Carr, Edna Huddler, Wendell Murray,
Angalee Rushing, Rodney Rushing, Al Schiefer, Lela Schiefer, and John
Sweeney. Dedication of the Veteran Wall will take place on Memorial
Day, May 28th at 2:00 pm at the Fox Community Center. If you are a
veteran and want your picture included or want to include a family
member (living or deceased) please send your picture (in uniform if
you have one) to the Schiefers.
So far, the
collection includes veterans from the Civil War to the present. All
who served in uniform, both wartime and peacetime, are to be
displayed. Please include the branch in which the veteran served and
dates of service.
